For each of the “three most important things,” you must identify them (1 point), illustrate them with quotes and specific details from secondary and primary sources (3 points possible), and explain why they were important (1 point). This adds up to 5 points possible for each paragraph. Note: you do not need to include full bibliographic references for your quotes and details; author name and page number will suffice.

For the last paragraph, you must identify at least two global patterns and processes that affected the United States (2 points possible) and at least two developments within the United States that influenced global patterns and processes (2 points possible). Your choice of which of these items was most significant and why is also worth one point, so there are 5 points possible for this paragraph.
