1. Do the activity that Crenshaw does in the beginning. What did you find?
2. According to Crenshaw, “when facts do not fit with the available frames, people have a difficult time incorporating new facts into their way of thinking about a problem.” What are “frames” and why do they matter?
3. In your own words, what is “intersectionality”? Where do you see the importance of intersectionality in your everyday life? What social locations other than race and gender do you see as salient in your life?
4. Much of this talk focuses on police violence against Black women, and Crenshaw says “the time now is to move from mourning and grief to action and transformation.“ What concrete actions can be taken to solve this problem, or other problems that intersect with race, gender, class, sexuality, etc.?
