On the website for your state’s Long-Term Care Ombudsman, review the posted Resident Bill of Rights. Evaluate to what extent the language honors elders’ desire for sexual intimacy. Explain your overall impression and conclusions. Exactly how well does it protect the rights of LGBTQA elders? What modifications, if any, would you suggest be made to your state’s Resident Bill of Rights to ensure the older adults, including those with dementia, have opportunities to express their sexuality in an appropriate manner?
